o brave new world, that has such people in it!

i always think of truths when i don't need to say them. for instance, i own a denture box. it is lovely & purple & a bit glittery, but i don't have dentures. i used to have braces, so i use the box to store my retainers. truthful, but not very interesting... (in fact, a little gross, im sorry)

in the spirit of all things slacker, i have spent the day eating with a friend, walking a bit, sitting freezing in a field beside a road waiting on my mum to pick me up (ohh, what i would give to be able to drive!) & now making lists.

if you had to tell an alien which ONE book they had to read, what book would you tell them? or, alternatively, if someone asked you which one book they must must read if they havent already, what would it be?
i think mine would either be 'slaughterhouse 5' (kurt vonnegut) or 'brave new world' (aldous huxley). my friend said 'howl & other poems' (ginsberg). we are a cheerful lot.

"and that," put the Director sententiously, "that is the secret of happiness & virtue - liking what you've got to do. All conditioning aims at that: making people like their inescapable social destiny."
